Youtube changes access rights for old unlisted videos
YouTube makes it harder to watch old hidden videos. All hidden content published for 2017 will be automatically set to private next month, the video platform reports.

Hidden videos posted for 2017 are currently available to view when someone has a direct link. Due to the update this is no longer possible and the videos can only be viewed by the person who put the images on YouTube.

The platform already implemented a security update in 2017 which makes links of hidden videos published after that year more difficult to find. Now there will also be a solution for videos from before that time.

Creators who do not want their videos to be made private can object. They must complete a special form for this purpose.
