Winners of the “Golden Mask” Award have been announced in Moscow

“Golden Mask” is a national Russian Theatric Award which has been issued in 1994 by the Theatre Union of Russia. It is given to artists who play their roles in different theatric genres.

“Golden Mask” Award is also a symbol of respect and recognition of outstanding achievements in the field of theatrical art.

Winners of the Award have been officially announced in Moscow recently. They include famous Russian actor and director Armen Dzhigarkhanyan, ballet dancer Maya Plisetskaya, artistic director of the Mossovet Theatre Pavel Homsky, actresses Zoya Vinogradova and Olga Sedletskaya, artistic director Petersburg Musical and Drama Theatre Isaac Stockbant, actor Vladimir Yakovlev and director Peter Stein.

The official ceremony will take place on the 18th of December in Stanislavsky Musical Theatre.
