“Wide Shrovetide” Fair is opened in Nizhny Novgorod

“Wide Shrovetide” fair exhibition was launched on the 15th of February in Nizhny Novgorod. The festival was arranged with support of local authorities and Nizhny Novgorod diocese. The information has been officially provided by City Administration media office. The event is taking place on the territory of Nizhny Novgorod Fair.

According to available information icon of Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon will be the main holy of the celebration. Arrangers are hoping that this festival will bring all guests lots of joy, smiles, laughter and positive emotions. They will be able to see performances of different creative teams, presentations, professional classes, concerts and many other interesting things. Of course, everyone will be able to try delicious pancakes with hot tea.

The main idea of the festival is to make it easier for citizens to get acquainted with Russian folk art and traditions. At the same time arrangers are hoping to popularize tourism field and attract modern groups and bands to folk arts.
This festival has already turned into a pleasant tradition for the whole Nizhniy Novgorod region.
