Ukraine will import electricity from the Russian Federation

Ukraine will import electricity from the Russian Federation. On this day, 14 February, said the Minister of energy and coal industry of Ukraine Igor Nasalik.

According to officials, there are uverennost that the import of electricity from the Russian Federation is not even worth considering, because "it never will" despite the fact that in the country there is a shortage of coal, which is used in power plants.

"I am more than confident that the import of electricity from Russia is not even worth considering, as it will not be with us, and we will do everything in order to abandon this position," – said Ukrainian official.

In addition, the Minister of energy and coal industry of Ukraine Igor Nasalik said that the introduction of temporary emergency measures will allow to reduce the risk of deficit in the United energy system of Ukraine. Moreover, it was said about the fact that to completely abandon the use of anthracite coal in the energy sector of Ukraine in 2-2.5 years.

We will remind, on Monday 13 February, the Minister of Menerga talked about the fact that on the Ukrainian warehouses remained of anthracite left 927 thousand tons, with daily consumption of 30 million tons on average, these reserves will last for forty days.
