Ukraine will buy coal from the US at $ 113 per tonne
On Tuesday, August 1, it became known that the States are preparing the first shipment of coal for delivery to Ukraine. In particular, the company from Pennsylvania has already made 700 thousand tons of the product for shipment. This happens in the framework of the transaction, which was concluded by the Trump Administration with Ukraine.

The US Department has repeatedly stated that it is interested in reducing the energy dependence of European countries on Russia. The US President Administration wants to break this connection by increasing fuel supplies.

The contract with Ukraine was announced by the head of the US Energy Department Rick Perry. He noted that earlier Ukraine and most of the EU countries depended on Russia for coal and gas supplies. However, the US intends to break this link by increasing the amount of US energy resources to the European continent. The Minister noted that the US offers Ukraine a worthy alternative.

Thus, the Ukrainian company Centrenergo concluded an agreement with Xcoal Energy & Resources on the supply of 700 thousand tons of coal. Deliveries must be made before the start of the heating season.

The very first batch - 210 thousand tons - will cost Ukraine $ 113 per ton of fossil.
