Torpedo lost in Away Match against CSKA
The last match of regular season of Continental Hockey League has turned out to be rather hard for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod. They lost against CSKA. The final score was 3:5 (1:1, 1:3, 1:1).

Torpedo players started that game rather actively and managed to score on the 4th minute of the first period. Nikita Druchinsky was the author of that goal. However CSKA players managed to score the equalizer by the end of the first period.

Players from Moscow team began to play more aggressively in the second period. Such active play made it possible for them to take the lead but not for long. The scoreboard showed 2:2 in the second period. CSKA players performed great team work during the last 20 minutes and scored twice.

Peteris Skudra decided to substitute the keeper. However this fact could not save Torpedo players from the 5th goal. They were able to score only once in response determining the final result of the game on the scoreboard.

Unfortunately, they couldn’t grab at least a draw in this game though they had a lot of opportunities to score.
The next match against Yugra will be played today at 5:30 p.m.
