According to Bitcoin Price Index (BPI), the value of the cryptocurrency has reached a minimum of $9,714.02. The last time bitcoin’s price was below $10,000 was on December 1, according to BPI.
According to the analysis of the market, the price could shift in any direction, and recent changes in legislation - fromSouth Korea and China in particular - could promote the markets further, according to some observers.
Bitcoin comes amid a broader fall in the cryptocurrency markets, a state of affairs that was fully reflected in yesterday's trading session. CoinMarketCap data shows that many of the top cryptocurrencies remain in the red within the last 24 hours, including the ether, which has fallen below $900.
Of course, the worst performer is the BitConnect cryptocurrency, which has dropped more than 90% due to news that the company is lagging behind closing its credit and exchange platform in the wake of criticism and regulation.
In its present form, the collective market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies has decreased from yesterday to more than $200 billion.
