The Majority of Ukrainian Refugees wants to stay in Nizhny Novgorod for Good

1 405 Ukrainian citizens who were provided with temporary shelter on the territory of Nizhny Novgorod region are eager to stay here for good. They also want to become official citizens of Russian Federation. They will have a chance to take part in a special federal program which is aimed on resettlement of compatriots from abroad on the territory of Russia.

In accordance with information that has been provided by representatives of the Federal Migration Service of Nizhny Novgorod region refugees from Lugansk and Donetsk are living in the region ate the moment. They are more interested in settling in such industrial districts as the capital of Volga region, Kstovo, Viksa, etc. Some of refugees are qualified employees in agricultural and industrial fields. Health care providers and medical experts are also among them. This is beneficiary for the region as it suffers from lack of professional workers in these fields.

We should also pay attention to the fact that government decided to make the procedure of obtaining citizenship as easy as possible. That is why special program of compatriots’ resettlement from abroad has been implemented. This bill has already been published on the official website of the Russian government. It means that refugees from Ukraine will not face any difficulties and problems in obtaining citizenship.
