The Filecoin project completed the ICO with a record $ 257 million
The Filecoin project completed the ICO with a historical record of $ 257 million. So, according to ForkLog magazine, the first-ever regulated ICO Filecoin project set a new record for the crypto-currency industry. The project, unexpectedly for everyone, raised $ 257 million.

It is worth noting that the regulated project ICO Filecoin was launched in 2014 by a company from California. The primary goal of this project is the creation of an effective data storage solution, based on the protocol of the decentralized IPFS network. Earlier it was noted that this protocol was also developed by Protocol Labs and is intended to replace HTTP with peer-to-peer hypermedia communication protocol.

According to company executives, the idea of this project is that users install special software that allows storing data on hard disks of personal computers.

Recall, ICO Filecoin started on August 10, and most of the profit, namely $ 200 million, the project received in the first thirty minutes.

By the way, the previous record for some collected funds was installed by the Swiss Blockchain start-up Tezos. The project has received 230 million dollars.
