The championship of Russia of track-and-field athletics starts in Kazan, Russia

Today, on July 23th, 2014 the championship of Russia of track-and-field athletics starts in Kazan, Russia and it will last until July 26th, 2014. 808 athletes from 67 regions of Russia will take part in competitions that will be held at the stadium "Central".

According to the results of Russian track-and-field athletics a team will be finally formed to participate in the European Championship 2014, which will be held in Zurich in Switzerland from August 12th, 2014 till 17 August 17th, 2014 at the Letzigrund stadium.

On the eve of the start qualifying competition in eight categories were cancelled.
In men’s category qualifications in discus throw and hammer-throwing, and also in the shotput, were cancelled.
In women’s category qualifications in discus throw, hammer-throwing, javelin throwing, shotput, and in the high jump were cancelled. In all these kinds of track-and-field athletics finals will be held immediately according to the website rusathletics.com
