Testing Assembly of Qashqai Crossover was launched in St. Petersburg

Testing manufacturing of Qashqai crossover has been launched on the plant located in St. Petersburg. The main idea is to check factory’s production capacity. If everything goes fine, mass production of new model will be launched this year. It will reduce the net cost of the car.

At the same time major Japanese automaker is planning to use the factory in St. Petersburg for producing its Murano model. At the moment Qashqai crossovers which are also sold on Russian automotive market are manufactured in Sunderland, Great Britain.

One year earlier Nissan gas already launched producing of X-Trail model in St. Petersburg. Automaker is more than satisfied with results as the sale rate is higher that it was expected. We have already reported about the fact that IzhAvto will also deal with producing of some Nissan models.
