The village of Teriberka in the Murmansk region, where in 2014 was the shooting of the film-nominee for an Oscar "Leviathan", entered the top 20 travel destinations by the magazine National Geographic. It is reported that Teriberka became the only region of the Arctic zone of Russia, which was included in the top rating in 2016. After the release of the film by Andrey Zvyagintsev here was organized a festival "Teriberka. New life". Of the tourist attractions of the village there were numerous natural waterfalls, the ship graveyard, the local meteorological station with more than a century of history and construction of the coastal defense line during world war two. In addition to Teriberka in the list of National Geographic got three more destinations in Russia: the hero city of Sevastopol, the island town of Sviyazhsk in Tatarstan and Barguzinsky reserve on Baikal. |
