TANECO refinery will double its refining capacity by the end of 2017

TANECO CEO Leonid Alekhin specified that the loading of the plant will be below this level, about 12 million tons per year, to avoid the development of low-margin dark petroleum products.

The TANECO oil refining plan for the current year is 7.8 million tons.

In addition to the primary installation, TANECO will complete construction of a number of secondary plants by the end of 2017, after putting into operation of which the plant will start producing more than 1 million tons of gasoline a year, and also double the production of commercial diesel fuel to 3 million tons, according to Tatneft and Settlements Reuters.

By 2025, the refinery will launch a set of key secondary processes within the framework of the second stage of modernization, which will allow producing 3 million tons of gasoline and 7 million tons of diesel fuel every year without producing fuel oil.

From 2017 to 2025, the current investment plan of Tatneft provides for investments in the modernization of TANECO in the amount of about 200 billion rubles, the oil company said.

In the downstream part, Tatneft assesses the feasibility of creating its gas and petrochemical complex and the further expansion of refining capacity, both in Tatarstan and in other regions of the Russian Federation.
