Yesterday Nizhny Novgorod suffered from heavy rain, hail and stormy wind. The storm uprooted trees and damaged constructing fence. The wind moved dumpsters and other constructions and objects that were not fixed well. Several poplars were uprooted and damaged a number of cars on Proletarskaya street, Kanavinsky district. Constructing fence has been blown off in Nizhny Novgorod region. The fence was used to enclose building platform on the cross of Kovalihinskaya and Belinskogo streets. The same damages are determined in other districts of Nizhny Novgorod region. The hail was the size of quail egg. It broke windows in houses of local citizens and damaged the harvest and crops. The officials will still have to evaluate total damage and costs to cover the expenses caused by the storm. | |
