Start of Ice Arena construction is delayed in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia

Construction of Ice Arena in Nizhny Novgorod has been indefinitely postponed. The regional government is negotiating with potential investors of this project. The information is provided by “Nizhny Novgorod” informational agency with the reference to its own source in the Ministry of Investment Policy in Nizhny Novgorod region. In accordance with this source the delay is a result of worsening of economic and political situation in the country. The government is looking for new investors as a well as negotiating with potential ones. The main idea is to determine future steps and stages of construction. However the situation is still very uncertain. In spite of economic and political changes in the country, the government is not going to refuse from ide of Ice Arena construction. Local authorities will do everything possible in order to implement this project in the nearest future. The space for Arena has already been chosen. Now terms and investors are still to be determined. It should also be noted that that there has already appeared information about the fact that construction of Ice Arena on Komsomolskaya square is delayed due to financial problems.
