Sochi ready to host more than 6 million tourists in 2016

The city-resort Sochi is planning to increase the level of tourist download from 77% last year to 82% in 2016, as reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the mayor of Sochi Anatoly Pakhomov.

As noted by the head of the city, in the summer download Sochi will increase to 96%, whereas that year it was 92%. The average annual occupancy will increase to 82% against last year's 77%, and in total, according to Anatoly Pakhomov, this year Sochi is ready to receive more than 6 million travelers. The mayor reported that simultaneous loading in an organized resort sector represents about 200 thousand tourists, however, there are replacement opportunities. According to the mayor, guests will be able to accommodate in the apartments of Sochi is ready to host the tourists in guest houses and holiday villages.

Thus, as noted by the mayor of Sochi, it is possible to accommodate up to 300 thousand tourists, but to date, according to tour operators, the maximum number of visitors during the holiday season is 6.2 million.

Anatoly Pakhomov stressed that the authorities of Sochi ensure that this year the prices for tourist services have not increased. According to the mayor, thanks to the price policy of the resort city to relax in Sochi cheaper than in Krasnodar territory and the Republic of Crimea.
