Skype via the mobile phone will soon be able to share the entire content of their screen during video calls. Microsoft is currently testing the feature in its Skype Insider beta program. By pressing the 'Share screen' button, users can share the screen of their mobile with other participants in the conversation. Everything the user does on the smartphone, such as viewing spreadsheets or surfing the internet, is then shown to conversation partners. The feature has long been part of the desktop edition of Skype, but it was not possible to share the screen via the app's iOS and Android editions. Skype competitors such as Zoom and GoTo Meeting have been offering this option for some time. |
