Shipulin will take part in Mixed Relay in Kontiolahti

Coaches of Russian biathlon team have announced the whole line-up for the upcoming mixed relay which is included in program of World Championship 2015. The competition is taking place in Kontiolahti starting from today. Apart from Anton Shipulin who is leader of Russian team, Yana Romanova, Olga Podchufarova and Maksim Zvetkov will also take part in mixed relay.

Head coach of Russian men’s team Alexander Kasperovich shared his opinion and reasons why he decided to include Shipulin and Zvetkov in the starting line-up for this race. He paid attention to the fact that this relay is rather important for a start in the World Championship. That is why it calls for the most successful sportsmen who are ready to perform good results during the race. Shipulin’s conditions and shape are out of the question. He has already proved that his leading positions in Russian team are absolutely approved according to his results. On the other hand Zvetkov has a great potential. At the same time this competition will be a perfect training course for the sportsman to prepare for the upcoming Olympics.

The race starts today on 5th of March at 7:15p.m Moscow time.
