Russians Opened Drifting Arctic Station
Opening of new Russian drifting Arctic station has taken place recently. Dmitry Rogozin was among first officials who visited new station named “North Pole 2015”. He said that is necessary for Russian Federation to explore its part of Arctic as thoroughly as possible.

The Head of Ministry of Economic Development Alexey Ulyukaev has also taken part in official opening of the drifting station together with Russian Minister of Natural Resources Sergey Donskoy.

At the same time Dmitry Rogozin noted that this region has a lot of serious problems that were not solved for over decades. But now Deputy Vice President is sure that Russia has great opportunity to enter Arctic and makes it its own territory once and for all.

In addition Rogozin stated that Russia needs to make its best in order to master territory of Arctic which belongs to Russian Federation. This mastering includes North Sea corridor development   as well as numerous research and scientific works related to history of Arctic and creation of new drifting stations. Summing up Rogozin said that it is necessary to solve problems which appeared in the Soviet and New Russian period.
