Russian Hockey Team Guaranteed Place in 2015 IIHF World Championship Play-Offs

Russian hockey team will get to the play-off stage of 2015 IIHF World Championship in site of results of tonight’s match. Today’s result will only determine the final position of the team in its group as well as further opponent in the final stage of the tournament. Russian team has won in a rather tough match against Slovakian players the previous day. Slovakia had the only chance to get to the play-off in case it won in that match within 3 periods. However, Russian players were not eager to let their opponents implement the plan. The score was 2:2 after the third period. That is why the result of the game was determined in overtime. Artem Panarin showed great skills and scored during first minutes of the overtime. Sergey Mozyakin and Vladimir Tarasenko also scored during the match. Maxim Chudinov was injured during the match. He got serious dissection of neck and chin. Maxim was not able to continue the match. He was taken to the hospital immediately where doctors applied 17 seams including 2 inner and 15 outer seams on chin and throat. At the same time head doctor f Russian team is hoping that player will be able to continue taking part in the tournament. Today Russian team is going to play its last game in the group stage against Finland. The game will help to determine Russian position in group B where leaders are players from the United States at the moment.
