Russian Government will provide more than $10 billion for Regional Road Repairing Works

Russian government has launched new program that is called “Development of Transport System”. It includes providing more than $10 billion for road repairing works. Such resolution has already been published on the official website of the Ministers Cabinet. According to this resolution terms and conditions of financial support for the regions have been already approved by the government. They will be provided from the federal budget to regional budgets and will be spent in implementation of Transport System Development program during 2015. It is also noted that these funds will be enough for completing all necessary construction and repairing works related to public and regional roads and highways. At the same time such financial support will make it possible to increase the overall volume of construction works. For example, Nizhny Novgorod region will get about $16 million as this region is of great importance for the whole Russian social and economic development. Tatarstan will get about $14 million. The rest of funds will be divided between other Russian regions which play a very important role in the overall development of the country. They include Novosibirsk region with more than $16 million of federal financial support and Khanty-Mansiysk with about $13 million support from Russian government. All these funds will be spent on increasing of roads capacity and repairing works as well as development of transport system in these regions.
