Russian GAZel Next will be manufactured in Turkey

Production of GAZel Next auto has been launched in Sakarya, Turkey. This city is located 150 km from Istanbul. The auto matches Euro-5 standards and is produced since the 30th of September. This information has been officially confirmed by representatives of GAZ Group and Mersa Otomotiv Company.

The new model has been presented on Istanbul Park sports arena which was created as one of the stages for Formula-1 racing tournament.

Assembly and production of GAZel Next is arranged in Turkey including the main production units and components that will be supplied by Russian company. At the same time propeller shafts, wheels, batteries and brake components will be purchased from Turkish producers.

Moreover GAZel Next auto will also be available for local consumers. That is why Turkish version of the car will be equipped with Cummins turbo diesel engine. Modifications with gasoline engines will not be sold in Turkey due to high level of prices on fuel in this country.

It should be noted that GAZ Group has received Single European approval on production of LCV GAZel Next auto. It fits all necessary ecological standards and matches Euro-5 class. The same thing is with GAZel Business and Sobol Business models which can also be sold in U countries.
