Owners of digital currencies in the near future will have to step out of the shadow: the Russian authorities are going to get all information about them to create a register of crypto-investors. As the chairman of the Duma committee for the financial market Anatoly Aksakov said, this measure will help prevent new cases of money laundering. It is important to note that the Russian Association of Crypto-Currency and Block-Finish (RACIB) gave a positive assessment to the lawmaking initiative. The President of the National Rating Agency Viktor Chetverikov also considers it necessary to create a register of crypto-investors. He recalled that at present the new market has practically no state regulation. The law on digital assets is expected to start operating only in the fall. According to him, it would be useful to form a similar registry for crypto-instruments. By the way, the RACIB estimated that at the moment about two million holders of crypto-currencies live on the territory of our country. According to analysts' forecasts, by the next year this number will increase to three million, and next year it will double again.
