Russia Will Increase Fines for Drinking Alcohol in Public Places
According to available information new higher fines for drinking alcohol in public places have been initiated by the deputies of the Lower Chamber of Russian Federation.

According to this initiative new amendments in Code of Administrative Offences will include higher fines for drinking alcohol containing drinks in public places. The fines will be increased from $10 to $100.

At the same time parents of under-aged children who also violate this law will be fined separately. If their under 16 child is detected under drug or alcoholic affect, parents will be fined by %160.

The same situation is with telling swear words in public places. The fines for such administrative offence have been increased from $10 to $200.

Russian government is also planning to give more precise definition to the term “public place”. It is necessary to determine all places for such administrative offences including blocks of flats.
