Russia: Nizhny Novgorod water utility will launch new modernization program

“Nizhny Novgorod Vodokanal” company will continue its modernization program due to the fact that case on the legality of the Concession Agreement has been finally closed. This program will enable repairing process of water supplies and sanitations. Nizhny Novgorod water utility representatives will try to do their best in order to proceed with all necessary works as per previous schedule in accordance with information from company’s media office.

Special workshops for ozonation and UV disinfection of water will be commissioned by the end of this year on Novo-Sormovskaya station. At the same time main pumping station will also be repaired along with water supply and sanitation network digitization.

This program will attract new investors. Their funds will be spent on modernization WWTP which is now operating in accordance with all standards. Additional financial measures will be taken in order to develop energy system which will have a positive effect on tariffs for residents of Nizhny Novgorod.
