Russia: Nizhny Novgorod pupils will have to pass drug examination
More than 8 thousand pupils fr om Nizhny Novgorod will have to pass drug examination during next month. Such statement has been made by Alexey Nelidov who is the Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Nizhny Novgorod Regional Drug Dispensary.

According to his statement examination will consist of two parts. The first part considers taking sociologic and psychological test. The second part includes the most thorough medical examination along with specimen collection that will help to determine any amount of drug substances in blood.

Nelidov paid attention to the fact that such examination will be primarily organized in schools, wh ere occasions of taking drugs by pupils have already been determined. Specific order for launching this program is already prepared. The first part of examination will be held in the beginning of November.

The Deputy Chief Medical Officer reminded about the fact that 8 132 pupils of Nizhny Novgorod schools have been examined last year.

It should be mentioned that program of pupils and students drug examination has been worked out by Russian Ministry of Education and Health. In accordance with this program, all pupils who are over 13 will be obliged to pass this examination.
