Russia and China discuss the construction of a new nuclear power plant

Russia and China can implement a joint project to build a nuclear power plant. As it became known, Beijing proposed to place the object in the territory of Jiangsu Province. It is important to note that Tianwan NPP was erected twenty kilometers from the proposed site for construction with the participation of the Russian Federation. "We are looking at the prospects of the second site, the six-block platform, and it is also in discussion in our dialogue, so we have good chances here," said Andrei Lebedev, vice president of South Asia projects at the managing company of ASE Engineering Company ASE. The sides are also holding talks on cooperation on the construction of the seventh and eighth units of the Tianwan NPP.

Let's remind, the states not the first year co-operate in a sphere of a building of nuclear power stations. At the moment, the aforementioned Tianwan NPP is the most ambitious project implemented in the process of Russian-Chinese cooperation.
