Russia: Alfa Future People festival is over

A huge festival of electronic music and technologies has taken place on Bolshoye Kozinj airfield from 11th to 13th of July. More than 30 000 people have visited this sensational showdown.

Two main stages have been installed. The most popular DJs and musicians created an unforgettable atmosphere. They included such worldwide known names as Markus Schulz, Paul Oakenfold, Infected Mushroom, ATB, Dub FX and 40 other performers from all over the world. The Uchpochmack band was a special guest featuring Zemfira.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the “Alfa-Group” Consortium Mikhail Fridman:

“The atmosphere of the festival is really great. There is no place for aggression. We could not even expect that all our costs will be covered investments in the first year. This project has turned out to be a success.

Despite several difficulties we should try our best in order to make Russia noticeable in the worldwide cultural arena. That is why the festival will stay in this region. We are sure that this is the right trend to choose”.

Deputy Governor of Nizhny Novgorod region Dmitry Svatkovsky noted:

“Our main goal is to find projects that will make it possible to promote Nizhny Novgorod region not only inside the country, but also in the rest of the world. We are eager to take leading positions in different fields and we are planning to arrange such festivals every year.

I was deeply impressed by culture and tolerance of the youth that has gathered here. It has its own taste and style. Some people were with flag of Russian federation which is also rather pleasant for us”.

The results were easily predictable. 32.03% voted for music festivals with the most popular performers. At the same time 25% were sure that there is no use in such festivals and it is better to invest funds in social development.

We also think that this variant is of primary importance. However people are not ready to think about their problems. Maybe this is because of summer or because of Alfa Future People festival.

The most famous DJs and musicians have not been left without attention of media. They were glad to share their own opinion about this festival.

“To be honest, I didn’t have the foggiest idea about what Nizhny Novgorod is before the festival. I was very impressed by this place. Nizhny Novgorod is a great city. I was even afraid to perform from such a high stage. I needed at least 30 minutes to get used to it. The view was spectacular”.

DJ Paul Oakenfold:

“I was pleasantly surprised with high level of organization and such a large amount of people”.

“Alfa Future People festival can be compared with Belgium Tomorrowland. Despite the fact that AFP is a first festival its level is impressive”.

Alfa Future People festival has set a lot of records. The most famous DJs have performed on the stage that was the same high as 7-floor building. It was 90 meters wide and it was constructed in the shape of transformer’s head. The Uchpochmack, Infected Mushroom and Dub FX have performed on Live and Bass stage. It was featured by an enormous screen. It is one of the biggest stages in Russia that has ever been used for open-air performances. K1 sound system is the most expensive system all over the world.
