RosRAO” will help to purify radioactive water on “Fukusima-1” NPP
Government of Japan offered “RosRAO” Russian enterprise and two other foreign countries to start research works in order to determine all possible variants of purifying radioactive water on “Fukusima-1” NPP. This information is provided by Japanese mass media. Two foreing countries will also cooperate with Russian enterprise. They include Kurion Inc and GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy Canada Inc.

Japanese authorities are ready to provide all necessary financial support for research works. More than 9.5 billion dollars will be spent on this project. All companies should introduce their projects by March 2016.

“RosRAO” deals with collectiong, transporting and recycling of radioactive waste. This company is a part of Rosatom Corporation.

Now special system is created by the operator of “Fukusima-1” NPP. This system will be able to purify water from 62 different types of radioactive waste. At the same time tritium is not among them. That is why additional help is necessary.
