Ripple signed a partnership with MoneyGram to accelerate cash payments

In a blog post, Ripple confirmed that MoneyGram would integrate the alt Ripple’s XRP altcoin into its payment system. The integration, according to Ripple, allows MoneyGram to solve the old liquidity problem faced by most financial institutions.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has increasingly championed the perceived benefits of XRP as a currency over bitcoin as interest and trade increase. Given the market value of Ripple in early January, the chairman of the company, Chris Larsen, reportedly gained personal wealth to compete with Warren Buffett and Bill Gates because of his 37 percent share.

In recent weeks, Ripple has unveiled several partner deals, and in the first week of 2018 the cost of XRP soared to a maximum that could hardly be imagined just a few months ago.

Despite the fact that the level of recognition did not cause shortage of warnings and criticism, the refusal of Coinbase to add an altcoin, reportedly caused a 30 percent decline last week, the latest news seems to be changing.

XRP rose almost 8 percent within 24 hours according to CoinMarketCap, which since January 8 does not include some of the major markets of South Korea.
