Residents of the Swiss city of Chiasso will be able to pay taxes in bitcoins
Residents of the city of Chiasso will be able to pay taxes in bitcoins. So, according to Interfax information, inhabitants of the Swiss Chiasso from next year will be able to pay tax payments in bitcoins, but only on condition that the amount will be at least 250 francs.

This decision, as noted on the site of the city hall, was taken after consultation with some companies that are developing blockade technologies and intend to place production and scientific facilities in Ticino, including Chiasso.

The Mayor of Bruno Arrigoni says that the only Italian-language canton in Switzerland can quite become one of the leading centers for the development of blockade technology as a country along with the canton of Zug and the whole of Europe. At the same time, it was said that in these technologies there is a promising replacement in the medium term to the banking sector.

Earlier it became known that from next year Switzerland is moving to the new standards of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in the field of tax and banking information exchange. In this connection, according to experts, business in the country by bank secrecy will lose its former importance for the country.
