“People of Planet Earth” unique Exhibition is taking place in Nizhny Novgorod
“People of Planet Earth” is a unique photo exhibition which is taking place in Nizhny Novgorod. It has been arranged in Russian Museum of Photography. The exposition is available to the public starting from the 15th of January. The author of the exhibition is a popular Russian photographer from St. Petersburg whose name is Vasiliy Shishkin.

Guests will be able to see more than 20 of his works which display different people from different parts of the world. The author visited many countries. During his travels he made lots of photographs. He shot people in spite of their skin color or religions beliefs. He is sure that all people are the same. At the same time Shishkin tries to explain that all borders and boundaries between all countries will vanish sooner or later. This will be the starting point for the new epoch when everyone will have the same ideals and values. This will be the time when there is no place for war and killing innocent people. At the same time another aim of this exposition is to show traditions and customs of people from other countries. You may witness their way of life.

All photos have been made between 2012 and 2014. All people who are shown on these photos are rather happy and optimistic. However every character has its own history and past. For example, one photo displays a woman who is indulged in alcohol. She lost her kids because of her nasty habit. Another photo shows old man from Shri-Lanka. His pension is very small. Nevertheless he is very happy and smiling in spite of the fact that he almost lives from hand to mouth. Shishkin pays a lot of attention to different details in his works. That is why they are able to reflect live atmosphere of every character.

The exhibition will be available till the 1st of February. After the exposition is over, all his works will be presented to one of the local orphanages.
