Online- shopping duties will enlarge Russian budget by 60 billion rubles
Fr om 2015 to 2017 the Finance Ministry plans to enlarge the budget by 60 billion rubles at the expense of duties from foreign online-shopping which are made by Russian citizens. The threshold of duty-free import will be reduced from 1 thousand euros to 150 euros. This money has been already taken stock of while arranging budgets for the period from 2015 to 2017. Thus, the Finance Ministry expects to get duties in amount of 20 billion rubles annually. ITAR-TASS has announced this information referring to its sources.

At the end of June, the Finance Ministry has already prepared a draft resolution of the government restricting duty-free import of goods for private use which are sent through the mail or carrier, cost 150 euro and weigh 10 kilogrammes. If the lim it was exceeded, the fee at the rate of 30% from price should be paid. In May 2014 Russian President signed a law allowing the Government to change the terms of duty-free import of goods for private use.
