Number of crimes decreased in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia
Number of crimes in Nizhny Novgorod has decreased over the last few months. Acting Deputy Head of Police Department Sergey Goncgarov paid attention to the fact that level of crimes has become 25.4% lower in the capital of Volga region.

Sergey Goncharov has provided such statistics during meeting of the Public Council. There have been registered 25% less crimes than it was several months ago.  24% of all crimes include grave and especially grave crimes. Number of rapes and assaults has decreased as well as level of thefts, robberies and fraud and mugging has also become lower.

It should be noted that number of crimes committed by teenagers has also decreased during the first half-year of 2014. At the same time more young people are visiting gyms and go in for different kinds of sports. 70% of youth in Nizhny Novgorod prefer spending time actively and with use for their health.

Policemen are doing their best in order to reduce the number of crimes in the region. At the same time they regularly check places where young people from poor districts gather together for common time spending. Such checks are made in order to prevent possible crimes which are committed by teenagers.
