Nuclear Scientist from Nizhny Novgorod was Arrested for Divulging State Secrets
Former scientists of Russian Federal Nuclear Center Vladimir Golubev was arrested and accused of divulging state secrets.

According to available information earlier scientist was under house arrest. However this sentence was changed by Sarov State Court in Nizhny Novgorod region due to violation of home arrest and inappropriate behavior. The application of head investigator was granted and scientist was put in prison for two months.

It is noted that criminal cases was initiated due to the fact that scientist has published report about his work. This report has been made in 2013 during conference which took place in Czech Republic. It was mainly connected with explosive. Golubev has proved to be experienced expert in this field. During search in his apartment investigators took hard disc and computer equipment which contained important information.  

Scientist’s lawyer noted that his ward has not divulged any state secrets. He worked in Russian Federal Nuclear Center since 1975 and was fired in 2013.
