Nokia and the American Apple Corporation (“Apple”) has settled a dispute over patent infringement and have signed a cooperation agreement.

Nokia and Apple have settled a dispute about patent rights
At the end of last year, Nokia filed lawsuits in the courts of 11 countries against Apple for patent infringement. The company claims referred to the various elements of the mobile device display, user interface, video encoding, and antenna. In the framework of the agreement, Nokia will provide Apple a range of products and services in the field of network infrastructure. The details and the transaction amount is not disclosed.

Both companies will seek new opportunities for cooperation in the field of e-health products. “Representatives of Nokia and Apple will meet regularly to ensure that this cooperation is effective and brings benefits to both parties”, — stated in a press release.

The Finnish company tried for several years to reach agreement on the use of Apple's intellectual property and as a result, has decided to protect their rights in the courts. Lawsuits against Apple has done, in particular, in the courts of Italy, Germany, Finland, UK, USA and Japan.
