Next year for migrants will introduce a new stamp duty

The Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation has prepared amendments to the Tax and Budget codes, according to which in 2017 will be introduced a state duty for issuance to the alien certificate of knowledge of Russian language, Russian history and fundamentals of legislation of Russian Federation. By the way, now the migrants pay only the procedure itself exam (4,9 thousand roubles), without fee.

It should be noted that it is still unknown what would be the final fee, but according to preliminary data it can be 600-1000 rubles. "The size of the state fee for public services, the proposed bill is similar to the size of the state duty for committing actions connected with acquisition of citizenship of the Russian Federation or renunciation of citizenship and with entry into the Russian Federation", – explained in the press service of the Ministry of education.

In addition, the proposed bill offers to give the service authority for state control and supervision over the conduct of the exam on the Russian language, Russian history and fundamentals of legislation of the Russian Federation.

Recall from 1 January 2015, all migrants wishing to obtain a work permit in Russia must pass a comprehensive test in the Russian language, the basics of law and Russian history and to get a confirming passage of the exam certificate.
