New Samsung smartphone: nearly a million pre-orders

Pre-orders for the smartphone will be accepted until 17 April, and sales will begin in the end of the month. Samsung expect to realize from 40 to 60 million new devices.

According to the President of the mobile division of Samsung Electronics, Kim Dong Jin, the Galaxy S8 at the moment — “the most secure smartphone on the market”.“We take all the necessary measures to check the quality of the battery, to avoid what happened with the Galaxy Note 7. We check not only the battery manufacturer, but a company that makes phones,” he said Wednesday in Seoul.

This mobile phone differs from previous models - improved curved screen and new biometric technologies, including face scanner. In addition, a new program assistant, controlled by voice is installed.

Last year, Samsung was forced in droves to withdraw the smartphone Galaxy Note 7 due to problems with batteries that could explode. Samsung losses amounted to about one billion dollars, and Note 7 has been discontinued.
