New Mercedes Autos will be produced in Russia

Russian government has recently taken measures concerning limitations of foreign autos purchase for the executive officials. This limitation will also include governmental institutions. On the other hand such measures will open new opportunities for Mercedes brand. The company will have a chance to produce their autos on the territory of Russian Federation.

Daimler Corporation has been looking for new production platforms starting from summer 2014. This process includes analysis of countries with high level of industrial potential. Russia is one of the primary targets for the company. Daimler specialists have already examined Kamaz factories and enterprises. Such cooperation has proved to be efficient. For example, Daimler and Kamaz are producing Mercedes-Benz trucks in Naberezhnye Chelny. At the same time Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Classic autos are manufactured on GAZ plant in Nizhny Novgorod.
