New “Garage” Is Opened in Moscow

Rem Kolhas bureau has been working on reconstruction of former restaurant.

New building of “Garage” Museum of Modern Arts has been opened in Gorky Par, Moscow.

It is now based in building of former “Seasons” restaurant which was almost totally ruined. Rem Kolhas bureau has been working on reconstruction of the building. This bureau is considered to be one of the leading companies which deal with urban planning. They left only the frame of the building while faзade was made of ultra-modern materials with usage of unique and innovative technique.

Section gates 11 meters wide have been installed. They lead to open atrium made of glass and full of light.

The whole construction settles 5,000 square feet of exhibition spots and 8 multimedia projects. The museum will also be equipped with screening rooms, playgrounds for children, cafes, library, book store and more.
Tomorrow on June 12 all visitors will be able to visit museum absolutely free of charge.
