More than 60 thousand employees were fired in Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia

More than 60 thousand employees have been fired during the second quarter of 2014 in Nizhny Novgorod. 1789 people were fired due to reduction of working places while 44 509 people were fired due to resignation. This statistics does not include small businesses. On the other hand 52 014 people have been employed during the same period. 3 281 people got new working places which have been created recently. The majority of working places were provided by companies which deal with manufacturing activities. They have employed 11 647 new employees. On the other hand 15 107 people were fired in the same industry. 615 people lost their job due to reduction of working places and 10 187 people were fired due to resignations. The highest level of underemployment is in transport and equipment production field. 20% of employees work on a part-time basics in accordance with resolution of employers. The level of unemployment in Nizhny Novgorod region was 0.45% on the 1st of July 2014.
