Only 400 of all cases have been closed by investigators.

More than 1 000 Frauds has been registered in Nizhny Novgorod Region in 2014

More than 1 000 of frauds have been committed during the last 11 months of 2014. The information has been officially provided by media office of Nizhny Novgorod Main Police Department.

In accordance with available statistics there have been registered 1 246 frauds over the last 11 months. Only 388 of all cases and rimes have been closed. 149 criminal cases have been forwarded to courts.

Moreover about 70 frauds have been committed using mobile phones and providing citizens with different types of false information and data. More than 50 criminal cases have been initiated.

In addition 128 of frauds have been committed by false social workers. Criminals visit their victims as social workers, healthcare providers and representatives of other public departments. 83 of such crimes have been committed in the capitol of Volga region.

Policemen and investigators of Nizhny Novgorod region recommend citizens being very careful and attentive. They warned people from letting in strangers and visitors without IDs and other documents. At the same time the officials noted that none of any financial reforms will take place in the region. That is why people shod avoid any offers to register banknotes.
