MOE has spread emergency warning in Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia
Ministry of Emergencies has announced emergency situation in Nizhny Novgorod region on the 18th of August. 5th rate fire hazard is threatening woods and forests as well as peatlands in the southern part of the region. The warning will remain till the 25th of August. It can be prolonged in case the situation is not better.

5th rate of fire hazard is now established in three districts of the region. They include Arzamas, Dalnekonstantinovsky and Arzamassky districts.

It should also be noted that special fire hazard regime has come into force. In accordance with this regime people are not allowed visiting places with 4th and 5th rate of fire hazard.

MOE said that even if there is not high level of fire hazard on a specific territory, people should avoid visiting them. These territories include woods, forests and peatlands. This is due to the fact that fire spreads immediately on such places, especially when it comes to living areas which are close to districts with high rate of fire hazard.

Forest fires are very dangerous due to the fact that they are unpredictable and fire spreads extremely fast.
