Main Department of Ministry of Emergency Situations in Nizhny Novgorod region warned fishermen about the fact that it can be rather risky to go fishing on ponds as the ice is very thin at the moment. It is not enough to support the weight of an ordinary man. That is why the level of danger is rather high at the moment. The thickness of ice is still rather small on some ponds due to high temperature. In some places it varies from 15 to 20 centimeters. Moreover the ice is loose and porous. That is why all fans of winter fishing should consider the fact that the thickness of ice is decreasing every day. That is why it is rather risky to go fishing on ponds. If the temperature is above zero for more than 3 days in a row, people ate prohibited to go on ice. It can turned out to be very risky and to the detriment of people’s health.
