London's National Gallery and Tretyakov develop cooperation
Reported TASS referring to the director of the British Council in Russia Michael Byrd. Both museums will soon celebrate its 160th anniversary.

It is planned that the exhibition of paintings from the Tretyakov Gallery, consisting of portraits of famous figures of culture and art, will open in London's National Gallery in March. It will be called "Russia and the arts." There are portraits of Fyodor Dostoevsky, Anton Chekhov, Anna Akhmatova and others. In the Tretyakov gallery bring portraits of Shakespeare, Elizabeth I, Charles Dickens, Isaac Newton, Jerome K.Dzheroma. The exhibition is called "The English portrait" and will be opened in Moscow in April 2016.
