The National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) has announced its first Euro 4-compliant gas oil shipment to global markets, says Oilprice.com with a reference to Director of the Mahshahr region for NIOPDC Mahmoud Taherizadeh. “In the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year, about 184 million liters of diesel fuel with Euro 4 standards have been exported from Mahshahr oil terminal… In addition to diesel oil, approximately 960 million liters of mazut were also deployed to world markets over the span of four months,” Taherizadeh explained. A year in Iran starts on 20 March. Since then the country has exported an average of 9 to 9.5 million liters of gas oil per day which is twice bigger than the amount from the same period in the previous year. Iran is still trying to recover from the losses caused by the nuclear sanctions. Today one of the key consumers of Iranian oil is India. Vehicle sales in the country are increasing – and so does India’s demand for fuel. |
