International festival of modern music will take place in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia

The capital of Volga region is preparing for a huge event. International musical festival will take place from 12th to 18th of October. This information was provided by media office of the City Administration. In accordance with the statement the main aim of this cultural event is to develop modern musical academic culture and attract attention of wide circle of listeners of all ages and interests. At the same time interesting program which includes performance of foreign musicians will make it possible for guests to have the right understanding of what modern music is. Organizers say that the festival will consist of 8 main musical performances that will take place in the Big Hall of Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory, in the Hall of Choir College as well as on several stages of Nizhny Novgorod State Philharmonic. At the same time guests will also be able to visit Nizhny Novgorod National Theatre of Ballet and Opera. Concert programs will let citizens get acquainted with new works of modern composers from Sweden, France, Germany, Canada, Poland, Slovakia and Russia with musicians from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Saratov, Perm and other cities from all over the country.
