In Venezuela the working week for civil servants was reduced to two days. This is essential to reduce energy costs. Now government officials will operate only on Mondays and Tuesdays. About it told the Vice-President, Aristobulo Isturiz.

It should be noted that originally, from the beginning of the current month, a day made Friday, but yesterday, April 26, the government announced that Wednesday and Thursday will also be non-working in the public sector "except for those tasks that are fundamental and necessary".

At the same Isturiz said that now it will be Friday and a day off for educational institutions at all levels – pupils and students will be four days.

According to the Vice-President of the country, these measures are related to the fact that the water level at the hydroelectric Simon Bolivar, which is the main producer of electricity in Venezuela is very low, the country could remain without electricity, and therefore, it is very important substantial savings.

By the way, on Friday 22 April, the country was introduced a four-hour limit on the supply of electricity for forty days, but it is possible that the deadline will be extended for this purpose there are all preconditions.
