In the Bahamas there will be a government-supported crypto currency
Most critics of virtual currencies point out that digital assets are volatile and do not have government support. At the same time, some states are interested in issuing their own crypto currency. And if in South Korea decided to postpone the implementation of this project, then in the Bahamas this issue is actively discussed.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Bahamas Peter Ternkvest believes that the creation of a new digital payment system could be an important stage for the whole society. This is particularly true of small islands, where banks are increasingly leaving: with the disappearance of such organizations, residents can simply remain without financial services.

According to the official, the Bahamas in the future will be able to become a real "digital paradise". To do this, the authorities intend to actively use the detachment. First of all, this technology will be used to issue diplomas about the termination of educational institutions. After the implementation of the pilot project, the government will discuss the feasibility of implementing developments on the detachment in the sphere of licensing and issuing various documents, including passports. Peter Ternkvest also noted that the detachment can play an important role in the fight against corruption, since it will eliminate the notorious human factor.
