In the Russian Federation, the number of dollar billionaires and millionaires is growing. This was reported to journalists by the Institute of Social Analysis and Forecasting (INSAP) of the Russian Academy of Science and Technology.

During a monthly monitoring of the socio-economic situation in the Russian Federation, researchers found that in 2016, the number of dollar billionaires in our country increased by 11%, compared to 2015. As for dollar millionaires, they became more than 10%.

In total, there are about 132,000 dollar millionaires in Russia. This is approximately 0.1% of the country's population over the age of 15. Note that the dollar billionaires in Russia only 83.

In the world over the past year, the number of dollar millionaires has grown by only 3%. In Europe, the number of such people generally decreased by 4%.

Over the past 10 years, the number of Russians whose capital exceeds $ 1 million has increased by 31%. At the same time, more than 40% of Russian citizens do not have enough money to live.
